Tagaq, an Inuk from from Cambridge Bay (Iqaluktuutiaq), Nunavut, Canada, began practicing Inuit throat singing when she was fifteen. Over time, she has developed her own solo form of this ancestral form of singing, which is traditionally performed by two women, mixing it also with contemporary music genres such as pop and hip-hop.
In the decade since her first album release (Sinaa, published in 2005), she has won a number of prizes and sold out many of her performances. Hurry up before it happens again!
