Preview: Thundercat @ O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire (London, 16th November 2017)
The musical eminence grise concealing himself behind the bass and influencing stars like Erykah Badu, Kendrick Lamar & Childish Gambino has finally started to enjoy a bright and well-deserved limelight all to his self.
Despite Stephen Bruner, better known as Thundercat, being on the scene for a while, ever since his debut album Apocalypse, it’s only thanks to his most recent work titled Drunk that people are globally celebrating his remarkable talent.
You can do the same on the 16th of November, when the artist from LA will visit the O2 in Sheperd’s Bush for the London stopover of his world tour.
A bit of jazz, plenty of R&B and soul, pinches of visionary electronic effects (just enough to let your mind wander) and all-around musicianship that will let you energetically clap your hands throughout the show, that’s what you can expect from Thundercat’s gig… What you might not foresee is the exceptional quality of the performance.
