Preview: Voodoo Love Orchestra @ Rich Mix (London, 13th October 2016)

An album launch is always a party. So, try to imagine what it could happen when the album in question is released by a party band par excellence: Voodoo Love Orchestra!

On the 13th of October, Rich Mix will need to do its best to contain the sparkling, colourful and entertaining joie-de-vivre of the Brighton-based bid band. The demanding task is made even more arduous by the rhythmic juice of Inglorious Technicolor. Latin fuerza vital, New Orleans-inspired mind-blowing brass, afrobeat bass lines and Caribbean joyful mood are some of the guests of honour of the fiesta.

So, don’t forget your smile, dancing shoes and party animal instincts because you’ll inevitably end up getting yourself lost between a ‘Cumbia en Do Menor’, ‘Hong Kong Mambo’ or ‘Frankenstein Ska’, enjoying the sound of a ‘Clarinete and Bombardino’, making toasts ‘A La Memoria del Muerto’ or flirting with a ‘Voodoo Woman’: in the end, we all just ‘Want to be Loved’!
