Preview: Yeasayer @ Oslo Hackney (London, 10th June 2016)
Eat Your Own Ears is bringing Brooklyn band Yeasayer to London on June 10th at Oslo, the bar, club and gig venue two steps away from Hackney Central station.
The trio plays something in the middle between experimental rock and psychedelic pop, and often describes its pieces in interesting ways. They are now promoting the new album Amen & Goodbye, released on 1st April 2016, whose latest single, “Prophecy Gun”, was defined by the band as “Sgt. Pepper meets Hieronymous Bosch meets Dalí meets Pee-Wee’s Playhouse”.
Expect a unique sound in the perfect framework of East London, popular among quirky music lovers.
A sold out Oslo was treated to a reincarnated Yeasayer, complete with their unmistakable lush harmonies, jangly guitars and New York swagger.
