Daily Discovery: Lakou Mizik & Joseph Ray – Ogou (Pran Ka Mwen) [Official Music Video]

Lakou Mizik and Joseph Ray literally revive the spirit of Haitian Kanaval (Carnival) in their new single and video ‘Ogou (Pran Ka Mwen)’.
The video follows “a father and son as they prepare to take part in the annual celebrations in Jacmel, Haiti” and is named after ‘Ogou’, the Vodou spirit of Iron and War. “A Vodou follower asks for protection from the brutality of life’s daily battles – “Ogou, you brought me here, take care of me.”
The single anticipate the release of Lakou Mizik & Joseph Ray collaborative album Leave the Bones, out on Anjunadeep on August 6: https://anjunadeep.ffm.to/lmjrltb.oyd
