On Sunday the 27th of March, together with the Amaraterra crazy gang, we will be back at The Post Bar in Tottenham to give life to A Spring Song for Ukraine, a charity event supporting Voices of Children with all the proceedings going to their activities.
From 6PM till 10.30PM, we will be joined by some Southern and Eastern Europe as well as Southern and Eastern London musician friends to spread some good and heart-warming vibes throughout the evening and close the week with some well-deserved upbeats.
From behind the decks, you can expect the eclectic world beat taste of DJ Aly Prince, DJ Sacha Dieu and his pan-Balkan and Gypsy music selection, enriched by swing and electro-swing and the funky and uptempo vintagy tunes from Latin America, Caribbean and Southern Europe played by DJ Lou Pino.
While, live on stage you will enjoy... Greek singer Marina Deligianni and her repertoire built on the "bluesy" and intense rebetiko tradition, followed by our "very own" Sophie Darling with a set of protest as well as love songs featuring both originals and covers. Then, it will be the turn of London-based Romani Gypsy musicians par excellence Tatcho Drom... and to close the evening on a dancing step, the very last live slot of the event will be filled to the brim by the overwhelming enthusiasm of Amaraterra and their sunshiny Southern Italian blend of pizzica, tarantella and Mediterranean rhythms!
So, join us on Sunday 27th of March and let's all try to make things better in our small way with A Spring Song for Ukraine and an evening of uplifting and hearty music!
