No.1 Afrobeat Queen and legend ‘WUNMI’ is back after 4 years, She is truly a one-off, an artist that effortlessly joins the dots between Nigeria’s Afrobeat heritage, New York’s house pedigree and London’s jazz, broken beat and classic street soul sounds. Her pedigree starts with 10 years of classic collaborations working with production heavyweights like Masters At Work, Osunlade, Seiji and Truby Trio. The legendary Roy Ayers saw an impromptu performance and recognized her unique and authentic fire. He brought her to the stage and studio as a star singer, lauding her as the next step forward in the evolving legacy of Afrobeat. When the DJ plays a Wunmi track, the room explodes with life. You dance. You can't help it. No recording can prepare the concertgoer for the live Wunmi experience. She distils a lifetime spent in the underground dance sanctuaries of London, Brooklyn, and Lagos into a concert experience that instantly transforms the space. She is an irresistible super-hero of love, fighting spirit, and joy.
