African Night Fever brings a joyous blend of Kinshasa and Havana to Ropetackle with the incredible Grupo Lokito. Enjoy an evening of uplifting Congolese soukous and Rhumba guitar with vocals spiced by Cuban rhythms.
Grupo Lokito fuses contemporary Congolese and Latin music creating a modern day cocktail of these two great global genres. Formed in 2006 by British Latin pianist Sarah McGuiness and Congolese singer Jose Hendrix Ndelo, Grupo Lokito are dynamic and dedicated masters of their art.
Their energetic front line singers and dancers are true performers and when the groove steps up a notch into blistering salsa and seben, their infectious energy gets every crowd going. Prepare to dance the night away!
This special evening will also feature African Night Fever DJs and authentic Afro-Caribbean food for a true, tropical, Afro Latin party night.
Limited Seating. £12.50 in advance, £15 on the door.
