Africa's Cow Foot!!! is an exclusive cabaret night of African Storytelling and Live music.

 

The best African Storytellers will be taking you into the magical, vibrant, colourful and mystical world of Africa! All with genuine humour : Laughs and entertainment guaranteed by this comedy show!

 

The show has been written and is orchestred by Usifu Jalloh, energetic, funny, and deeply inspiring storytelling performer from Sierra Leone. With a mix of drumming, singing and a captivating narrative style Usifu takes the audience through the magic and nostalgia of childhood emotions using contemporary elements that have influenced his life.

 

Also on stage Alim Kamara, a young modern griot bringing fresh the ancient lyrics of Africa to the modern world. Audience members have described him as “inspirational” “relevant” and “heartfelt with stage presence”. The soulful singer and actress Ayo-Dele Edwards is part of the amazing performance too. This highly talented Nigerian Yoruba lady will make you go kpata kpata with her passionate voice. She is one of the most versatile and sort after up coming must see artists in UK at the moment.

 

Another special guest on stage : talented storyteller 'H' Patten who is pioneering African & Caribbean music and dance. Trained in Ghana, ‘H’ has collaborated with top choreographers and producers including F. Nii-Yartey (Ghana), Monika Lawrence (Jamaica), Keith Khan (UK) and The British Council (UK, West, Central and Southern Africa). Obtaining his masters in TV Documentary at Goldsmiths University College, ‘H’ has developed Dance for Camera techniques. Also an Associate Lecturer in African Peoples Dance at the University of Surrey, ‘H’ is currently on Surrey’s PhD programme.

 

And joining them on stage, last but not least, world-class tanzanian Mbira player Saidi Kanda.

 

The night is a fundraiser for the Maambena Festival (Sierra Leone) ; and all box office profit proceeds to the Festival.
