Arriba La Cumbia is about tropical, Colombian, amazonian, folkloric and above all crazy carnivalistic music and honest simple good times. Digging deep into the current treasure trove of great live acts in London and what the various latino diasporas have brought with them to this magical town and rich melting pot of cultures is an absolute pleasure and the March line does not disappoint.
Three great acts starting with Jamman a crazy Colombian dubbed out producer/artist representing the new sounds of cumbia in all its guises.
Second up is Fureza Vallenta, one of this city,s original vallenata cumbia bands with down-home style and accordian lead they are the real deal.
Headlining is Manzana Tropical a great family band originating from darkest Peru playing a mix of psychedelic Peruvian cumbia known as Chica with electric guitars and keys mixed up with some cumbia classic for good measure.
