Baile LDN with DJ Kwamzy & Tryb

Baile LDN with DJ Kwamzy & Tryb copy

Baile LDN was formed in 2019 by DJs Emily Dust, Mango Park and LoRIOca to celebrate baile funk, gqom, afrohouse and other bass-heavy club sounds. Launched with an impeccable series of events, Baile LDN saw sets from the likes of BadSista, Leo Justi, Morena Leraba, Freak De L'Afrique, KG, Jaymie Silk (UK debut), K2RAH and more.

We're super excited to be joined by the man behind some of our favourite tracks and edits of recent years, DJ Kwamzy. DJ Kwamzy has quickly built a name for himself in the UK amapiano scene and releasing the amazing Amapiano To The World compilation.

Also playing will be Tryb, who we've been looking forward to booking for a minute! Tryb is a pioneer in the underground not only for blending but creating safe(r) spaces especially on the QTIPOC London scene. Blurring the lines between genres, there is no limit to the sounds of TrYb. TrYB is the co founder Regayton Club Night, the host of Afrotronics on Threads Radio, The Highlife & Sunshine Show in NTS and THIIIRD Waves on Soho Radio. We know Tryb is gonna pack some heat!

They will be joined by Baile LDN residents Emily Dust and Mango Park bringing their signature blend of baile funk, gqom, uk funky and afrohouse to hot up the dance:

Emily Dust is a DJ, curator and broadcaster with an eye on global club trends and emerging sounds. A regular on the BBC, where she's produced and hosted a documentaries on the South African sounds of gqom and Berlin club culture. With such an obvious knack for creating a strong narrative, it's not surprising that Emily approaches her DJ sets in a similar fashion, expertly weaving through the threads that bring these disparate sounds together. Dancehall, Brazilian baile funk, Angolan kuduro and South African gqom are all in the mix, kept together with the bass-heavy sounds of her native UK.

Mango Park is fresh from a series of hot comeback shows across London. He'll be spinning his signature blend of everything from amapiano to 150 baile funk.

See you in the dance.
