Songs of love and loss from the Balkans and Central Europe

Balkan and Austrian folk songs, passionately and playfully delivered by the duo in an award-winning interpretation that is far from being purist but seeks to find the heart of these songs with their origins from Albania to the Alps. ‘Ajvar’ is a relish made with peppers and aubergine of Balkan origin; ‘Sterz’ is an Austrian dish similar to Polenta! For their CD Ajvar & Sterz the duo won the Austrian World-Music Award in 2005.
