For the past two years, Beatroots has celebrated and promoted the finest UK underground music at the legendary Passing Clouds Music Venue- hosting artists such as Taskforce, Pete Cannon and Dr Syntax, Dub Mafia, Deadly Hunta, The Ragga Twins, Mr. Woodnote, Jehst and MC Xander (to name a few!). Whether jungle, hip-hop, reggae or ska, once again we'll be bringing you big doses of bass and brass for some amazing live acts and our favourite DJs. Bring a friend, get your purple on.

High Cross Society is a coming together of some of the UK's finest live musicians, resulting in a truly unique band on the forefront of brass, beats, bass and conscious hip-hop. A lighthouse of originality in an ocean of imitation. This is a band that sheds the current trends for disposable pop and brutalist dance tracks, choosing instead to create something more astute and original. Like all the greatest music it sits outside of its time - at once classic and contemporary, this will sound as good in 20 years as it does now.
We are honoured that this will be High Cross Society's only London show this year. Don't miss it!!!
♪♫♪♫ - Mad Apple Circus- ♪♫♪♫
Hailing from the deepest, darkest suburbs of Bristol, Mad Apple Circus are a unique blend of horn-fuelled styles better known as Bristone. The Mad Apple rabble deliver an infectious mix of ska/hip-hop/jazz, where swing and reggae influences jump through - nothing but the good stuff. Made up of former members from Slamboree, Sullied and The Magnus Puto Band, they bring their sound to venues up and down the country and to festivals far and wide. In the last 2 years they made appearances at a series of festivals including Sunrise, Cloud Cuckoo Land, BoomTown Fair, Symmetry Festival and Brisfest. They have had the privilege of sharing the stage with Citizen Fish, The Beat, Suburban Legends, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, King Porter Stomp, Babyhead, Will And The People and Hot 8 Brass Band just to mention a few.

The Inexplicables defy explanation. Rooted in Bristol, their unique blend of live dance music oozes energy and originality. Driven by beatbox, with sumptuous vocals, tricky wordplay, raw bass and uplifting sax melodies; taking you on a visceral journey through reggae, hip-hop and latin to electro-swing, drum 'n' bass and dubstep.Get down early to catch this infectious band, not to be missed!
♪♫♪♫ - BYOB - ♪♫♪♫
Here comes the sucker punch! The closest thing Beatroots has to a house band. Back again by popular demand, North London brassophiles are taking over London and you better watch out. Expect the purest of UK garage classics, spine-tingling hip-hop licks, some tasty latin and tropical flavours, as well as a generous portion of bass for your face. Inviting a couple of extra-special lip-splitting vocalists on the mic for the next few gigs, be warned - this is not for the faint-hearted; this is toe-curling pelican-hurling noughties-mash-up nonsense. recession proof brass.

Having held residencies across Bristol and Manchester, his quick style of mixing through different genres earned him a place in the final of the British Student DJ championships, and airtime on Radio 1xtra and Kiss fm. Whether it be Dancehall, Garage, House, Jungle or Hip Hop, The Sultan is well practiced in creating a party atmosphere that always leaves an impression.

He takes influence from dub, roots, dancehall, DnB, Latin beats & future bass with the aim of blending that shizzle into tropical dancefloor bangers!
♪♫♪♫ - Born Cheating - ♪♫♪♫
One of Beatroot's resident DJs, Cheating is the lovechild of Grace Jones and Roger Troutman. He has been bringing serious syncopation to dancefloors all over the British Isles for several years, and loves every second of it.
♪♫♪♫ - Jung Girl - ♪♫♪♫
Jung Girl is a musician/DJ who blends an eclectic, ecstatic tracks with mind expanding samples and subliminals. Expect bass heavy breaks, junglistic tribalism and some remixed classics straight outta leftfield and onto the dancefloor!
♪♫♪♫ - Dopamina - ♪♫♪♫
Torn between the continents of hip-hop and dancehall, Dopamina sees no borders but explores the global interpretations of the two genres and the areas where their paths cross.
