Camberwell Fair 2019

cambfair2019

Camberwell Fair is a free community festival on Camberwell Green on Saturday 31st August, 12pm-9pm! Last year we welcomed over 4,000 people to come together and eat, drink, dance, trade and celebrate. This year's Fair features:

3 music stages
40 market stalls
Peng Street Food
Delicious Drinks
Interactive Games
And our specially brewed Camberwell Fair Tropical Pale Ale...

See you on the Green!

---
Camberwell Fair 2019 is made possible by support from Arts Council England, Southwark Presents, High Street Challenge, The National Lottery Awards for All and sponsors Zipcar, Hyperoptic, Off-Cut Barbers, and easyGym.

This will be the 5th Camberwell Fair in modern times, but there was a Fair on the same site from 1279-1855 until shut down by the authorities for ‘immoral and riotous behaviour’. Camberwell has changed a lot since those times, and the Fair of course reflects the people of modern Camberwell, but the spirit is the same – a chance for the whole community to come together and unite.

In addition to the Fair itself, we are committed to providing artistic and enterprise opportunities in the local area in the months before the Fair - check out our Enterprise Programme and Artist Development Programme:

Event Review: WOMAD Festival @ Charlton Park (Malmesbury, Wiltshire; Thursday 28th to Sunday 31st July 2022)

After a 3 year wait, and returning on its 40th anniversary, to say there was anticipation around Womad ’22 would be a vast understatement. The line-up played it safe in some respects, with old favourites looming large; but there were bright spots of new musical energy, hungrily met by pent-up…

Event Review: Boiler Room Festival @ Peckham [London; Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th October 2019]

Filming performances to be broadcast to viewers at home who can still feel somewhat part of the party is not novel. Boiler Room, the flagship online platform for underground acts to increase their exposure, tapped into a pre-existing appetite amongst the try-before-you-buy internet generation but that doesn’t negate the impact…
