Come down to the beautiful basement of Notting Hill's stylish and friendly bookshop/cafe Book and Kitchen for a night of the sweetest, coolest blues in town, featuring the wonderful Errol Linton with his distinctive mix of down-home sounds given a Caribbean twist. Errol is one of our finest harmonica players and a deeply soulful singer to boot. He blasts out raw but beautiful blues n boogie, spiked with the reggae of his Jamaican roots: like Chess Records meets Studio One! Come and feel the blues vibrations.
Also live will be Errol's guitarist Adam Blake, the unsung hero of British blues guitar, who also plays sitar with Cornershop. Tonight he'll be playing a set as a solo singer-guitarist.
Around the live music, DJ and host Jamie Renton (Shout Collective/Soulclectica/International Times/Chilli Fried) will be taking the Devil's Music back to its African roots, out into the big city and anywhere else that feels right.
