We’re super excited to announce that Crosswires Festival will be returning to New Cross on Saturday 3rd October 2015 at the Amersham Arms.
With support from Lewisham Council, we’ve been able to put together packed day of eclectic music for you to enjoy on your doorstep, plus some exciting workshops, if you live in the local area. If not, why not come down to this wonderful place to hear some of the most exciting artists around at the moment.
Now in its second year, Crosswires is a non-profit, community event, based in Lewisham, London which aims to provide audiences from both the borough and across the capital with quality live music – a mix of homegrown talent and from further a field. The music on offer is eclectic and not defined by genre or style, but judged by its sheer quality, in the spirit of John Peel, one of the inspirations for the programming of the festival.
The festival is also about the artists; we seek to offer professional development through the festival, asserting a fair-pay policy for all artists involved, setting a standard by which we hope the rest of the sector will follow.
And last but not least, we want to continue to put New Cross and Deptford, Lewisham, and South East London onto the cultural map of London, so people from far and wide will visit this great area.
