"A veteran presence in the DJ community as well as one of the foremost producers in too many communities to count, Vadim is never running out of ideas" - URB Magazine
For over two decades DJ Vadim has been one of the archetypal models of the forward thinking dj and producer. The self professed 'Sound Catcher', the innovative legend has, over various different labels and projects, amassed a mighty musical repertoire that encompasses hip hop, trip hop, soul, funk, grime, reggae, dub and bass - a forever evolving and exciting output that has seen him perform over 2500 times across 68 countries around the globe.
HIs unique and fresh approach to music has seen Vadim work with a mighty roll call of leading musicians, singers and groups from all corners of the music world. For two decades the likes of DJ Krush, Stevie Wonder, The Roots, Prince, Public Enemy, Dilated Peoples, Kraftwerk, Sly and the Family Stone, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Super Furry Animals and Paul Weller amongst others have all called for a sprinkle of the Russian’s sonic alchemy.
Production credits are just as eclectic and no less impressive, with Vadim called behind the desk for The Bug, The Isolationist, The Russian Percussion, One Self and The Electric. And If that isn’t enough, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy for his incredible work with 7 Notas 7 Colores. This on top of a huge back catalogue of solo work, across labels Ninja Tune, Jazzfudge, Wordsound, BBE, crafting seminal tracks such as The Terrorist, Black is the night and Bluebird.
A true innovator and one of the few djs and producers who it feels will never run short of ideas, don’t miss this opportunity to see a true pioneer up close and personal.
