Innovative, energetic and playful, the Double Duo is a new project created by London based oud player Khyam Allami, with highly respected Palestinian oud player Ahmad Al-Khatib, amazing percussionist Youssef Hbeisch and Italian frame drum master Andrea Piccioni.
Commissioned by Making Tracks, the two duos of oud and percussion will present original repertoire and arrangements prepared especially for this project. From delicate interlocking nuances to high-energy improvised flourishes, it is a pure display of inspiring communication and world-class musicianship.

Making Tracks will enable Khyam to develop new work specially for this tour based on a new ‘2x2’ idea (oud with/versus percussion), featuring highly respected Palestinian oud player Ahmad Al-Khatib, amazing percussionist Youssef Hbeisch (as featured with Trio Joubran), as well as Italian frame drum master Andrea Piccioni.
