Fémina touch down in London for the first time! Channelling blissed out, harmony-soaked soul music with a purpose the Argentinian trio join us fresh from the release of their third album, ‘Perlas & Conchas’. Lyrically poignant with major hip hop and Latin folk influences, their latest record is primarily an electronic statement, recorded and produced by legendary producer and musician Quantic.
Originating from the beautiful mountain town of San Martín de los Andes in Patagonia, they have taken the Latin word for “woman”, 'Fémina', as their name - a simple declaration of their proud stance as a band of three females, something which set them apart when they first started performing in Argentina. Astonishingly diverse, at times surreal and always globally-minded, Fémina’s music is rooted in the history of their home continent but shaped into new and exciting forms, waxing on themes of equality mixed with poetry as they combine rap and the new wave of urban sounds, with a fusion of Latin American & folkloric rhythms.
