Fiesta Brasil: Carnival Warm Up

Get ready as the spectacle that is Tribo brings drums to your ears with a big bateria, singers, guest musicians and a whole lotta samba reggae good vibes. Tribo are an international non-profit cross-cultural drumming and dance music project, but they are so much more than this. They are the carnival party-starters and their high-energy mix of samba-reggae are will get the whole venue moving! A mainstay of Carnival, this huge ensemble gets the block jumping all around the UK and Europe and this show is their warm up as part of the parade at Europe’s biggest carnival Notting Hill Carnival.

As well there’s Tonzee, a band with one foot in London the other in Brazil. Moving seamlessly through genres from samba, novo tropicalia to reggae, rock and drum ‘n’ bass. members, Fernando Machado (vocals, guitar), Alba Cabral (vocals, percussion), Will Roberts (drum kit) and Enrique Galassi (double-bass) are on the top of their game. With uplifting tracks tinged with a tropical flavor there’s plenty to swing your hips to.
