On Saturday 25th February Focus Organization continues their vibrant monthly residency at Zar Zar’s in East London, bringing you Dj-led night of pure afrobeats featuring tracks from the best artists across the African continent.

This month we are excited to announce our collaboration with AfriPOP! – the ultimate online destination for the latest new trends in African music, African fashion and film – and very special guest Dj Edu.

With international appearances and his residency on BBC 1 Extra, Destination Africa, award-winning Dj Edu made history by becoming the first afrobeat Dj to host a national radio show across the UK, and with it pioneered a whole new musical scene. Edu has become a household name in the afrobeats arena, playing the hottest underground African sounds around, from Hip Hop and RnB to Dancehall, Garage and D&B.

Other Dj’s on the night include Bogossy Freshfrency and Oya Bun.

With his weekly show on Playvybz Radio and recent features on Choice FM, Bogossy Freshfrenchy has quickly built a name for himself on the London night scene. He mixes up a ground breaking selection of African and urban beats, from Zouglou to Afro-tech.

Focus Dj Oya Bun was born and raised in the Ivory Coast and later moved to Paris. His musical taste has been heavily influenced by both African tradition and contemporary sounds of the African diaspora. His sets incorporate Soukous, Kuduro and Kwaito, with a special focus on Coupe' Decale'.
