Four Corners: A London Showcase

Four Corners

Archspace London presents a new showcase featuring the best homegrown artists from each corner of London.
For the first instalment of Four Corners, we're joined by:
North - Gecko
South - Sarah Williams White
East - Tiana Major
West - Grace Lightman

Hailing from Lewisham, South London is singer Sarah Williams White. Her progressive sound mixes soulful, intricate vocals with soulful skittering beats and layered harmonies. A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Sarah cites influences ranging from Jamie Lidell, Erykah Badu to Hiatus Kaiyote and Thundercat.
North London artist Gecko, whose playful lyrics cover the big things in life such as iphones, libraries and fruit juice. Last year he launched his debut album “Volcano” with a sold out London show and a session with John Kennedy on Radio X.
From West London, Grace Lightman started out fronting London psychedelic band The Hypnotic Eye before embarking on a solo career in 2015. Grace shapes her sensual and timeless vocals around honest, unflinching melodies, hypnotic synth swells and sparing beats.
Representing East London is Tiana Major9. Growing up in a British Jamaican house-hold, she was constantly surrounded by music, whatever the flavour. She fell in love with R&B and Hip-Hop first but she says that jazz is her heart.
All four of these artists are worth seeing in their own right, so getting to see all of them on the same bill means this will be a very special evening.
