FRiZZ is very happy to announce the launch of a brand new monthly event...

PARADE will take place on the first Thursday of every month, and showcase FRiZZ RECORDS artists alongside a wide variety of special guest performers, bands & DJs...

Expect an eclectic selection of high quality live music, with a party atmosphere...

For our LAUNCH PARTY on August 4th we've assembled a line-up of some of London's most unique & interesting live performers...

...including the finely crafted, melodic & gorgeously emotive songs of KAORU NODA (just arrived in town after releasing her debut album in her native Japan...and kind enough to allow me to join her for a special appearance on bass guitar!)...

...VEDINA MOSE (the voice behind AUGUST's 'It's Not The Wand, It's The Magic' LP) giving us a taster of her forthcoming solo debut, with a voice that's equal parts Kate Bush & Minnie Riperton, & a style she describes as 'Cabaret Soul'...expect the unexpected!

...best known as the driving force behind the band NOW! we have JUSTIN PATON joining us in his solo incarnation, which he labels 'Live Electronic Music', indulging his love of acid house, minimalist electro & playful experimentation...

...then FRiZZ's own DAVID GARSIDE, traveling down from Birmingham to bring us a unique trio performance, which will add cello & percussion orchestration to David's beautiful, heartfelt & sophisticated songs for guitar, piano & voice...

...and of course the party wouldn't be complete without a blessing from ART TERRY...this time moving sideways from the melodic, orchestrated pop of his debut 'Anutha Kinda Brotha' LP, & firmly into mutant funk soul territory, previewing songs from his forthcoming 'Sex Madness' album...

In between all that wondrousness I'll be playing the records I never hear in clubs that I like listening to up loud with a room full of people...and I'll be joined by Jodie & Ali from experimental pop group ALOOSH, who will not only be elbowing me off the decks, they'll also be bringing us advance copies of their brand new single 'Time' (out on Aug 8th)

The SERVANT JAZZ QUARTERS is the latest addition to a blossoming Dalston music scene, joining the likes The Vortex & Cafe Oto in creating a breeding ground for new and interesting music. We're happy to be making it our home once a month! The club is on Bradbury Street, just along from the Dalston Jazz Bar, & around the corner from The Vortex...Dalston Junction tube station (London Overground) & Dalston Kingsland rail are a couple of minutes walk... (see http://www.servantjazzquarters.com/findus for more info, buses, etc)

Doors are 7pm-midnight, and the live music will start promptly, so don't be late! Entry is £3 on the door
