Gilberto Gil is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter who is one of the leading names of Brazilian music and an originator of the ’Tropicália’ movement. Releasing his debut album ‘Louvação' in 1967, Gilberto Gil recently released his 60th solo album in 2018, the critically acclaimed ‘OK OK OK’. Aside from changing the face of Brazilian music, Gilberto Gil has had a career in politics since 1987 where he has served as Brazil’s Minister of Culture.
