Love Carnival is on FIRE!

But if you’re thinking we're ready to cool down you’re sadly mistaken. In August, get ready as we turn up the summer heat with some border crossing beats and bass for the Global Love Carnival. Flying in from his base in New York is Thornato fresh from signing to the renowned label Wonderwheel Recordings. Plus direct from Buenos Aires with his deep electronic folklore cuts is ZZK Records favourite Barrio Lindo.

At the very forefront of tropical music monsoon of international collaboration that is Global Bass, is DJ and producer Thor Partridge aka Thornato. Between his flights to India to produce music for Bollywood films, recording extensively in South Africa, Colombia, Kenya and beyond. As well as playing clubs worldwide, he has been sprinkling original and remixed tracks out in the world via ZZK, Man Recordings & Dutty Artz, dropping his most recent release Things Will Change EP on Wonderwheel Recordings in April.

Barrio Lindo’s music channels the native ancestral culture of his Argentinian home. An instrument maker by trade, using his bare hands he constructs many ethnical instruments like Andean flutes, African harps, string instruments from India and so on. This fascination with indigenous sounds is reflected within his music and themes with the use of samples and tribal instrumentation. While understanding his work is far from that of the native cultures, he finds ways to incorporate these influences through fusions of sounds. Drawing a parallel, worlds both old and new align.

As ever, the Love Carnival familia Selecta Madmax, DJ Cal Jader & guests will be bring the hypest Tropical Bass, Global Beats, Carnival Vibes, and Dancehall Riddims.
