Wah Wah 45s head south and make their debut at JAMM in Brixton to celebrate the release of the brand new album from East London's finest brass juggernaut Hackney Colliery Band. "Common Decency" features a collection of the nine-pieces trademark cover versions, including the new single, a take of Goldie's "Inner City Life", and Lianne La Havas' "Is Your Love Big Enough?", as well as deep afro-beat and funk flavoured originals.
Joining HCB will be firm friends of the label from across the channel, Souleance. DJs and producers Soulist and Fulgeance come together to create a live show steeped in electronics, funk, hip hop, Gallic stereotypes and a big sense of humour. On the decks we welcome Fun Lovin' Criminal, BBC6 Music presenter, and all round music legend Huey Morgan to drop some of his favourite funk, soul, disco and the odd touch of rock too! This man needs no introduction, and the last time he joined the Wah Wah crew there were some serious fireworks, so expect more of the same!
Huey will have his 6Music producer T-Bone alongside him dropping rare 45s and upfront nuggets, as well as your favourite Wah Wah residents, head honchos Dom Servini & Scrimshire, and young upstart Bopperson; whilst in Room 2, the incredible Unwanted Family DJs will keep the crowd moving with a heady mix of house, bass and electronica.
