A key component to ushering in a new golden era for jazz in London, Henry Wu has broken down the walls of what the genre means to the younger generation, thanks to his thrilling electronic productions and work with Yussef Dayes in Yussef Kamaal, the most exciting jazz band of a generation.
Here he works his magic behind the scenes as musical director, where he has hand picked a group of London's most exciting musicians including one of his Yussef Kamaal cohorts trumpeter Yelfris Valdés.Valdés will be taking centre stage in his own reinterpretation of the work of legendary jazz musician Freddie Hubbard, and alongside him Henry has selected Robert Mitchell on piano, Oli Hayhurst on bass and Marco Quarantotto on drums. There will also be special guests announced on the night - for all of the jazz fans out there new and old, this is an absolute must see.
