Henry Wu Presents Jaco Pastorius With Tom Driessler

blogmedia-86533.jpg

Arguably the most talented jazz man to ever pick up a bass guitar, Jaco Pastorius' legend still looms large since his untimely passing in 1987.

A true maverick on stage with Weather Report, Joni Mitchell, Pat Metheny and more, his signature musicianship employed Latin-influenced funk, solos on a fretless bass and unique approach to harmonics that had never been heard before.

It's our honour to pay homage to the great man with Tom Driessler, the bassist from the UK's hottest jazz band, Yussef Kamaal. Joining him on stage will be Saleem Raman (drums), Joe Armon-Jones (keys) and Josh Arcoleo (sax).

The night will be presented by Yussef Kamaal's Henry Wu, the second in a new series of events with him following January's outstanding Freddie Hubbard tribute with Yussef trumpeter Yelfris Valdés.
