Fela Kuti - SALUTING THE BLACK PRESIDENT
After sell out shows at the Electric Ballroom, 229 and The British Library, the Innervisions Festival is Saluting the Black President himself, Fela Kuti, tonight with the Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra and very special guests to be announced shortly.
Curated by Rikki Stein who managed Fela Kuti and whose 46 album back catalogue he continues to administer, Saluting the Black President, will feature a selection of some of Fela Kuti's finest work including "Zombie", "Roforofo Fight", "Expensive Shit", "Water No Get Enemy", "Lady", "Kalakuta Show", "Sorrow, Tears and Blood" and more.
Fela Kuti has released some of the best and most important music of the past century and has been revered by musicians the world over such as Paul McCartney, ?Uestlove from The Roots, Thom Yorke from Radiohead, Miles Davis, Bono from U2 and many more
