JALLY KEBBA SUSSO – a born Griot, took up playing the Kora, the emblematic instrument of the Griots at the age of seven.

His band; MANDING SABU - a collection of some the finest musicians on the London afro music scene – possess the rare capability to infuse traditional Griot music with Jazz, Funk and Blues this sets him apart from his contemporaries. His blistering performances at the Royal Festival Hall, The National Theatre, ICA, Cargo Passing Clouds and for Nelson Mandela on his birthday celebrations in Hyde Park; topped off with an incredible set at WOMAD festival last summer officially won critics over.
