Jorge’s music found a wider audience when his ‘Al otro Lado del Río’ won the Oscar for best song after featuring on the soundtrack to The Motorcycle Diaries. Covered by artists from Shakira to Neneh Cherry, his music may be Latin in origin but his clever instrumentation, hooks and infectious rhythms speak an international language.
Losing none of the intimacy of his solo performances, his live band - including eclectic percussion, electronics and brass - showcase his songs, having you stamping along one moment, before falling back to a simple blend of vocals and guitar, keeping you hanging on his every word, the next.
Support comes from Brazilian cellist Dom La Nena playing songs from her latest album, Soyo, an internationally flavoured collection of indie-folk songs with wandering melodies and lightly layered vocals.
