Join us for a monthly event celebrating the music and culture of Rio de Janeiro; a fun and informal night where everyone is welcome to sing, dance and enjoy the music of Brazil.

Lapa is the cultural melting-pot neighborhood located at the centre of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where all types of arts, music, dance and culinary traditions are concentrated. As Rio is hosting 2016 Olympic games, renowned musician Gaio de Lima (also from Rio but settled in London), is hosting new monthly event, offering an entire day of Brazilian activities.

Taking place on the last Saturday of the month, Lapa in London is an inclusive and friendly platform where people from all ages are welcome. All that with delicious and traditional Brazilian food!

7pm Clube do Choro UK
Clube do Choro is the first participatory event in the UK that showcases choro music in its traditional format of the Roda (circle). It gives London’s diverse communities an opportunity to perform alongside professional musicians and experience top class British and Brazilian artists in an inclusive and accessible setting.
