LIFEM 12: SOUNDS FROM THE ARCTIC COOL
The Northern Hemisphere brings a touch of Scandinavian cool, from indie pop, avant rock, yoik folk, nu jazz and ambient electronica artists.
The London International Festival of Exploratory Music returns to Kings Place with a fascinating line-up of Scandinavian groups, from the dark power of Norway's Deaf Center and Biosphere's arctic electronica to Gothenburg-based EF, with their epic, post-rock soundscapes. Shamanistic chant meets modern technology in Wimme Saari's yoiking, while enchanting singer-songwriter Frida Hyvönen will make you smile.
Biosphere (Norway)

Biosphere (aka Geir Jenssen) hails from Tromsø, Norway, a city 500 miles above the Arctic Circle. He is widely regarded as one of Norwegian electronic music's most prominent artists.
