“It's all about the creative explosive energy that's released "WHEN SKA MEETS JAZZ" says the multi-reed saxophonist Ray Carless whose 30-year career includes stints as a founder member of the Jazz Warriors and as a central figure in the original ‘Brit funk’ movement with Incognito, Hi-Tension Lynx, Central Line and Light of The World etc. Carless who has also played with Elvin Jones, Manu Dibango, Hugh Masakela, Jazz Jamaica & Ska Cubano leads an irrepressibly uplifting band on a set of jazz, ska and reggae standards.

Look out for some very special guest appearances from Ray’s ‘LIVELY UP’ colleagues at this 'Festival of Caribbean jazz within the London Jazz Festival, Chris Tummings, Victor Romero Evans, steel pannist Daniel Louis and past and present Jazz Warrior players and much more.
