Focus Organization brings you a fresh new African night in East London, showcasing some of the best emerging and established artists, bands and a whole host of solid African sounds.

Kasai Masai, the Kings of Soukous, will be blessing the stage playing their traditional Congolese sounds with a modern twist.

After appearances at Womad, Sarawak Rainforest Festival Malaysia and El Poble Espanyol Barcelona, London based Kasai Masai have become renowned party rockers. Their energetic and upbeat live sets are guaranteed to get any crowd on their feet. The band is composed of musicians who have played with some of the best African artists, like Madiata, Defao, Langa Langa All Stars, Franco & TP OK Jazz and Wenge Musica. Nickens has also played with Quartier Latin of Koffi Olomide, recorded with Papa Wemba, Kanda Bongoman, Zaiko Lang Langa and many more.

Overall, they put on an astounding total of 600 shows across Africa and Europe, playing in venues like the Zenith Olimpia in France.

Dj’s: Bogossy Freshfrenchy, KMT, Oya Bun

With his weekly show on Playvybz Radio and recent features on Choice FM, Bogossy Freshfrenchy has quickly built a name for himself on the London night scene. Mixing up a ground breaking selection of African and urban beats, from Zouglou to Afro-tech, you won't be standing still for long when Bogossy gets on the decks.

KMT is a Hip Hop teacher. He specialises in UK black,urban music fusing Hip-Hop, R’n’B, Dance Hall, Neo Soul, Broken Beats, World, Grime and Pop. He has worked throughout the world for over 12 years – playing in venues like Cargo, Shunt, Fabric, Stoke Rochford Hall, African Cup of Nations 2008 (Ghana), and Glastonbury.

Focus Dj Oya Bun was born and raised in the Ivory Coast and later moved to Paris. His musical taste has been heavily influenced by both African tradition and the emerging sounds of the African diaspora. His sets incorporate Soukous, Kuduro, Kwaito, with a special focus on Coupe' Decale'.
