Making Tracks Tour – Grupo Lokito

Grupo Lokito re-connects Latin and Congolese music in an exuberant explosion of sound. Cuban Rumba was a hot trend in West-African music in the 50s, and the group brings this style back to life with their own fresh take on it.

Lokito features ‘world-famous at home’ guitarists Burkina Faso & Limousine, Kinshasa-based singer and dancer José Hendrix Ndelo and top salsa pianist Sara McGuinness, fusing their extensive experience in their respective musical traditions into a new and exciting style that can only be classified as ‘Lokito’. With a charming sweetness to their sound, a relaxed yet infectious groove and cool soukous dance routines, Lokito are simply irresistible.
