MANGO RESCUE TEAM -Tropical/Psychedelic/Holiday
Sheffield’s MANGO RESCUE TEAM have just dropped their latest album “Ritmos Calentitos” and since then they haven’t stopped! Our favourite Tropical anarchists, who have recently headlined a sold out night at Passing Clouds in London, are presenting their tracks with a fresh new psychedelic set up. The Mangoes combine world music with the avant garde and aim to combine Tropical sounds with 60s psychedelic and party music influences.

Those who have been lucky enough to see 12 piece soul/hip hop band Nubiyan Twist live will know that Pilo Adami is the rhythm and groove that drives the band. Pilo comes from Brazil and has been involved in some of the most interesting world music projects in the country in the past few year. Resident DJ in some of the most important clubs in London and Leeds, Pilo knows how to throw a good carnival party. In this particular time he will be delighting us with two sessions: an innovative live set with percussion and Brazilian instruments; and a Top of the Brazilian Pops live DJ set - absolutely not to be missed!

Hot Diamond Aces came to life in early 2013 and is made up of 7 Sheffield based musicians who have appeared frequently with other bands including Renegade Brass Band, Harleighblu, Rodney P, MYJO, KOG & The Zongo Brigade, and many more. Showcasing a mixture of Afro-Beat, Funk, and Jazz, the band’s explosive and complex arrangements not only get the audience moving, but illustrate just how far instrumental music can be pushed. Combining infectious rhythms with a raw brass sound, Hot Diamond Aces’ live performances are backed up with energetic dance routines delivered by Angelina Abel, dancer/choreographer from Mulembas D’Africa.
