The Marielle Presente Festival is an international repercussion of the case of the murder of the parliamentarian and her driver Anderson Gomes. The case is still unresolved after 4 years. After all, who is behind the crime that killed Marielle Franco?
The agenda of the lectures and debates are aligned with the causes defended by the sociologist, politician, and black LGBT women from the slums of Maré Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, such as black women's rights, and equal opportunities for males, and females, and LGBT, among others.
After the lectures and debates, attendees can expect Afrobeats, Percussion, Samba Reggae, Maracatu, Forro, and Samba. These rhythms represent Brazilian cultural diversity and promise a fun and memorable event for everyone.
A large group formed by artists, intellectuals, political activists, and cultural producers aligned with Marielle's ideologies, will honor the legacy and memory of the councilor from Rio de Janeiro.
We would like to invite the Brazilian community and people from all nationalities to celebrate her legacy of resistance and love, let's celebrate her life and claim for justice, with lots of art, music, dance, talks, capoeira, and the best of our culture.
