For this show expect a combination of new material from Soothsayers , classics from Bovell and some tributes to celebrate Bob's birthday.Plus exciting Togolese vibes from the Afrospot All Strars and Reggae Roast DJ Adam Prescott

Having first met at Reggae Brittania festival in 2008 this collaboration has been on the cards for a few years and finally will take to the stage at The Forge on the celebration of Bob Marley's Birthday 6th Feb 2016.

Dennis Bovell is true legend and innovator in the history of British black and popular music. Starting seminal Uk reggae band Matumbi,he has produced albums by a wide variety of artists including I-Roy, The Thompson Twins, Alpha Blondy, Banamarma, The Pop Group, Fela Kuti , The Slits, Orange Juice and Madness. He has collaborated with Jamaican dub poet, Linton Kwesi Johnson for much of his working life creating the music and producing a string of iconic albums. As a writer he has worked created some of British reggae finest moments including Silly Games for Janet Kay which was a huge lovers rock hit in 1979.
In 1980, he wrote the score for the film Babylon.
Dennis continues to write and produce new talent around the world and performs as a leader and vocalist with his band worldwide.
