Continuing a series of nights in the heart of Camden featuring some of the freshest live and DJ talent from the latin and global scene in London in May we host a heady night of cumbia and afro-colombian fire with a live set from one of London's best tropical bands Cumbé who masterfully mix many of Colombia's traditional rhythms like Cumbia, Porro and Bullerengue with a soulful London twist. And Movimientos' DJs warming up the vibe with their trademark blend of red hot 'classico' latin beats, uptempo carnival rhythms, tropical bass, and fresh global party sounds for a proper Friday night shakedown.
Early on (7pm) we join forces with partners Alborada to present a special documentary film screening of the Colombian film 'The Embrace of the River' (Los Abrazos Del Rio)(Director: Nicolas Rincon Gille 2010, 73 minutes) followed by a contribution from Jairo Mendez (UK representative of the Colombian social movement Marcha Patriotica)More informations about the film HERE
