After another year of storming Fridays that brought Havana's nightlife to the heart of Camden, Sambroso join with The Forgeonce again to present the hottest Latin New Year's Eve party in town. Wave goodbye to 2016 and ring in the New Year with a smile on your face and Latin rhythms in your ears and move your feet all night long!
Live music comes from Elie & La Evolucion (see below) and probably the UK's in-demand Latin DJ and Cuban Jam resident, Javier de la Rosa, will be spinning Cuban & Latin tunes of all kinds before and after.
From 6pm you can start the evening in our upstairs Cantina, with a special New Year's Eve three-course menu available until 10pm (must be booked in advance, with entry)...
...or you can wait to eat until later, with our popular late-night Cuban Buffet (charged separately, on the night).
Eli & La Evolución are a London-based Cuban timba/songo/salsa band best known for bringing the heat at their 5-year uninterrupted monthly residency on Fridays at Ronnie Scott’s Bar, as well as performances at a range of venues from Mayfair members’ clubs to festival main stages.
Fronted by Cuban-Argentinian pianist and composer Eliane Correa (Wara, En El Aire Project), whose powerful compositions and keyboards have been a staple of the UK Latin scene for years, and vocal powerhouse Juanita Euka (Wara, London Afrobeat Collective) whose fiery but versatile style has earned her a place in genres as diverse as tango and afrobeat, the band also includes some of the UK’s top Cuban musicians.
The repertoire includes a mix of high-energy originals, some of which have been heard before in the Wara repertoire, unique Cuban salsa covers of world-famous pop, and revisited versions of Cuban classics.
