Orkestra Del Sol + Tantz + Into The Moon

Firefly Presents: Orkestra Del Sol + Tantz + intO the mOOn

***Orkestra del Sol***

"The swagger of a Balkan wedding band; the riotous energy of Latin carnival!"

Orkestra del Sol's explosive reinvention of global brass band music takes diverse influences – ska, porro, calypso, funk and a range of UK dance styles. They create a living, breathing polka-ing, pogo-ing honkstep for the 21st century. Trumpet, trombone, saxes, accordion, fiddle, two drummers and the epic bass of the sousaphone conspire perfectly to create soaring horn lines and beautifully layered harmonies, driven by an uncompromising rhythm section who deliver the meanest grooves with a twinkle in their eye!

"Magnificent" The Independent UK
"Utterly captivating" Songlines

'As these meshugeners' mix of power-klezmer with dub, hiphop and Balkan beats hits ludicrous speed you best be wearing both belt and braces!'
(Axel - Riot Jazz Brass Band)

'Brilliant to see live, highly recommend them...but prepare to dance till it nearly does you in.'
(Alan Raw - BBC Radio Leeds)

'Kicking up a Klezmer Storm at Festivals and Club Nights Nationwide, Tantz Deliver a Hard Hitting blend of Eastern European Folk and Driving Beats'

***Into The Moon***

Gypsy violin driven rock sung with a cabaret flare.

An American country-boy lunatic with a big electric sound and anthems in his voice, a ravishing French violinist with a gypsy heart, and an seductively smashing drummer lure you into a musical dream sequence splattered with laughter and sparkled with spontaneous dissolution of dimensions.
