Prâna

The journey of the drum. A dazzling new original work by drummer-percussionist Siemy di brings together music and theatre to tell a story that is an inspiring example of cross-cultural unity.

Prâna is Siemy's new music/theatre/dance production. The show is an original blend of African, Indian, and American jazz rhythms. It tells a fictitious story about the late African American jazz drummer Max Roach who embarks on a journey to discover the origin of the drum. This innovative production encompasses story telling, music and dance-the musicians are joined by the contemporary and flamenco dancers.
