Rebetiko is Greece's underground music, which started in the 1920s in Asia Minor (Anatolia). The music travelled with the Greek diaspora across the globe. It is a playful bridge between the scales & rhythms of West and East. Frequently called the Greek blues, its passion enraptures musicians and audience alike. Plaintive songs will touch your heart. Brash ones will make you dance and celebrate life.
