Innovative musician, composer and poet, Ricardo Curbelo takes his audiences on a colourful journey through different Latin American countries on harp, cuatro, maracas and vocals. He presents a great combination of traditional pieces, together with many of his own, often spellbinding compositions, such as the much applauded Homo sapiens Dream, title track of his third album. Vibrant, energetic and jazzy pieces contrast with captivating melodies and romantic vocals. The sound response of his Modelo Corvado harps, which he designs and constructs himself, adds to the uniqueness of his performances and he offers many of us over here quite a different experience of harp music!
Ricardo has lived in London since 1979 and has many years experience on a wide variety of stages: radio & TV, concerts, festivals, educational institutions, wedding receptions and charity performances, to name but a few. After his very warm welcome by Arran Music Society last Spring, he is delighted to be returning to this beautiful island. His performance will include the lovely instrumental, The Ballerina and the tropical and very topical Brazil, Brasil along with other pieces from his new album, Espiritu Llanera**A Londres (Llanero Spirit**To London).
