Founded by local legend Seddik Zebiri in 1979, Seeds of Creation pull on the lead man’s Algerian roots, well-travelled background and life experience, along with his diverse collection of fellow musicians. The sound churned out by this seven-piece band, is irresistably danceable with an urban edge deeply steeped in North African traditional vibes.
Seeds of Creation brew an excellent blend of traditional Berber music fused with Afro-Blues, reggae, Jazz and raw Psychedelic sounds that will transport you from the East-end of London deep into the heart of the Sahara.

Rootmaster is a world music night run every Sunday at Hootananny Brixton, Offically Best Live Music Venue in London 2011 (London Lifestyle Awards) and Best Live Music Pub in UK 2010 (GB pub awards). It is free entry, and there is pool and Mexican food. It's a nice antidote to the busy-ness of Friday and Saturday nights : sweet music and very relaxed atmosphere.
