Lalgudi GJR Krishnan and Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi present Samarpanam in tribute to their legendary father.

The concert celebrates the life and legacy left by violinist Lalgudi G Jayaraman.

Krishnan and Vijayalakshmi are torch-bearers for the Lalgudi gharana, a widely admired style of music characterised by its melodic and lyrical expression.

In this concert, they perform a violin duet celebrating their father's gift to the world of music, weaving a richly melodious journey into the heart of the Carnatic tradition.

They are joined on stage by Carnatic percussionists RN Prakash and Prathap Ramachandra on mridangam and ghatam, two instruments that capture the rich flavour of South Indian music.
