Secousse

After Izé Teixeira tore a hole at Secousse's sister club in Paris, we HAD to get them over to London to smash it up for us and are seriously hyped to welcome one of Africa's finest, hellbent on a mission to introduce the world to some of the most exciting, underground and ghetto-fresh music,

Secousse has gained a reputation for showcasing some truly unique and amazing artists. Just check out our new CD/download compilation record The Sound of Secousse for proof.
France-based Izé Teixeira and his band mash up a crazy tropical soup of blazing Afro-Caribbean-soukous pressure, especially Funana music from Cape Verde - the bumping accordion sound of a raucous African village party at 3am. No joke. On the decks, the resident Secousse crew, A.J. Holmes, Moroka, Vamanos with MC Kastro take it home with the hottest ghettobass party riddims from Botswana to Brazil.
