Celebrating the life and work of Pharoah Sanders, Cassie Kinoshi and SEED Ensemble perform from his much-revered songbook, live streamed as part of EFG London Jazz Festival 2020.

This October we celebrate spiritual jazz icon Pharoah Sanders’ 80th birthday. Cassie Kinoshi leads SEED Ensemble in tribute, with special guests to be announced.

A vital part of London’s thriving jazz scene, the Mercury Award nominated ten-piece band is led by alto saxophonist and composer Cassie Kinoshi. The line-up features some of London’s most exciting and innovative young jazz musicians including trumpeter Sheila-Maurice-Grey (Kokoroko) and guitarist Shirley Tetteh (Maisha), with special guests just confirmed: Shabaka HutchingsAshley HenryRichie Sievwright and Yahael Camara-Onono.
