Join us for an acoustic evening of music by Shammi Pithia, who will be performing music from his work created over the last few years in an intimate setting. Shammi will be re-arranging his music for a few acoustic instruments, performing with Shammi (on bansuri) will be Michael Goodey (piano/guitar), Suroj Sureshbabu (guitar) and Preetha Narayanan (violin). Expect a night of beauty and emotion!

Shammi Pithia is building a solid name for himself as a creative composer and producer. In 2008 Shammi released his debut E.P. Cinema for the Ears, which led to the release of his album Audio Descriptive and the singles The Seeker and Pacifist Theme in 2010. World Music Central reviewed Audio Descriptive as "an extraordinary debut album of South Asian hybrids by one of the rising stars of British global electronica". In 2011, Shammi's much anticipated E.P. Paredolia was released.

Enjoying the busiest time in his career so far, Shammi has worked on several projects last year including a remix for Nitin Sawhney. On top of studio work Shammi has been gigging all year, with notable performances at Glastonbury Festival, The Eastern Electronics Festival, The Great Escape Festival, the London Mela, a headline show at The Purcell Room at London's Southbank Centre and a performance at the prestigious Indig02.
